K-Cup Review – Emerils Big Easy Bold Coffee

This is a very impressive Dark Roast from the Bam man himself, Emeril Legasse. It is very dark and very intense…the logo on the k-cup is emblazoned with Emeril’s picture and his trademark logo. It is definitely designed for the bold, dark coffee lover and may not be enjoyable to someone that prefers a light to medium coffee. 

This is a wonderfully bold coffee.

We’re really impressed with this coffee. The overall flavor, aroma, and quality of the coffee is quite good. The coffee is also for dark K Cup coffee drinkers only. The profile of the roast is nothing short of a black hole of coffee, but it doesn’t suffer from being burnt or too intense. The overall mouth feel is also very good – round and a bit sharp in the back of the throat with a lingering rich flavor. We really like the Emeril’s Original Big Easy Bold K-Cup Coffee and think if you’re a dark coffee drinker you’ll love it too.

• Acidity – 8 – a near perfect match – maybe a bit much for light drinkers
• Body – 9 – full and intense – can we say we want to drink the entire box?
• Flavor – 8 – delicious and interesting
• Mouth Feel – 7 – good but the biting in the back of the throat may be too intense for some
• Coffee Drinker – Dark coffee drinker. This is a very dark intense cup of strong coffee
